Mandala Birth support is a service for pregnant women and their partners and families. I am available for antenatal , birth and postnatal support and guidance. I have a background in midwifery and maternal child health , and currently work as a MCH nurse in the community. I am passionate about empowering women to have the best birth they can , however that looks for them. I offer support in hospitals and at home, wherever you prefer to give birth. I chose Mandala as my business name as mandalas may be employed for focusing attention , as a spiritual teaching tool, for establishing a sacred space, and as an aid to meditation and trance induction. These are all useful tools to employ during birth , and the process of pregnancy and birth is a spiritual awakening for a woman. In common use, mandala has become a generic term for any plan, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe.
